Year 1
Welcome to Year 1
Welcome to Year 1's class page!
Here you will find what we are learning about in each term and important class information.
Year 1 is an important year for your child. It is the point when children transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage to the Key Stage 1 curriculum. Although in Year 1 learning becomes more structured, we aim to make sure that children's learning is engaging, interesting and fun! In Year 1 the children continue to develop their phonetic skills to help them with their reading and writing. Children have a daily phonics lesson following the Red Rose Phonics Programme.
