Dear Parents / Carers

It has been another very hot week! Events for the end of term are now in full swing and on Wednesday we held our 'moving up day', with all children spending the day with their new teachers.  Our new headteacher, Mrs Woodcock, was also here to meet all the children. Our new Reception children also enjoyed their final visit before the summer break, and enjoyed staying for their first
school lunch.  Year 4 parents were invited into school to share a lovely afternoon tea yesterday and today Year 6 performed their dress rehearsal of The Wizard of Oz for the rest of the children! Year 6 parents - you are in for a treat!

Next week we have lots to pack in, starting with our final attempt at sports day on Monday. Please see the revised plan further down this letter. We will then be having rerun and final judging of Buckshaw's got Talent on Tuesday morning. Year 6 have lots to look forward to including their show, bowling trip and awards night, and our nursery graduation takes place next Thursday afternoon - phew!

A reminder that our Teacher Drop In is taking place on Thursday 16 between 3.30-4.30pm. All teachers will be available, as will            Mrs Price and Mrs Woodcock.

Finally, next week, we say goodbye to Mrs Robinson after an amazing 28 years of service at
Buckshaw, along with Mrs Rivers, Miss Jewell, Miss Durcan and I - we have some lovely celebrations
planned.
