Dear Parents/Carers
What a week it has been! The high temperatures have been a test for everyone this week and I am really proud of how well our children have managed. Thank you for all your help in keeping them cool - everyone has had hats, water bottles, sun cream and there have been all sorts of fancy fans and other cooling gadgets!! Teachers have also been very creative - the children in Nursery and Reception have
enjoyed paddling in the pools in their outside areas, ice pops have been handed out and I even popped into one class to find all the children with their feet in trays of water under the desk!
It was lovely to welcome our new Reception children in for their first visit on Tuesday - we look forward to
the next visit this coming Tuesday.
Next week is a big week, with our final fundraising event of the year, our Summer Fair! Please join us on the field after school on Thursday 2 July to enjoy fabulous entertainment in Buckshaw's Got Talent, donkey rides, a bouncy castle, ice creams and a whole host of games and stalls from each class. These include hook a duck, a penalty shoot out, sweeties, teddy and bottle tombolas, a lucky dip, pin the tail on the donkey (not the live ones!!), a treasure hunt and a lawn darts tournament to name just a few. We look forward to seeing lots of our families there.
