Dear Parents / Carers,
What an exciting week it has been both inside and outside of school! I had the privilege of accompanying our Year 6 children on their residential trip to The Anderton Centre, Rivington this week. It was an absolute pleasure to see our children having the most amazing
time, pushing themselves to take part in activities such as paddle boarding, canoeing, leaping out of trees and climbing; sharing rooms with their friends and staying away from their families. We were very proud of each and every one of them, and were very pleased to be
complemented by staff running activities and serving the meals on the children's attitudes, manners and conduct - well done Year 6!
Today was a very exciting day for our Reception children who had their very first school trip to Blackpool Zoo! The children had a wonderful time and represented our school brilliantly!I would like to extend a big thank you to all the staff and volunteers involved in these trips, particularly those who stayed overnight, away from their own families - the children could not have these experiences without your support.
Next week is another busy week! Year 5 head off on their overnight adventure to Gulliver's World, Year 4 take to the stage in Lancashire Sings, auditions begin for Buckshaw's Got Talent and, weather permitting, next Friday is our sports day and whole school picnic. Please see the final details below - we hope to see lots of you there!
Have a great weekend
Mrs Price
