Term 2
The Daily Mile: Why should we sign up?
We kicked off the new year with a focus on a new us! 2025 is an opportunity to better ourselves and so we created persuasive posters to encourage Buckshaw to get involved with the Daily Mile. The kids did a great job. Have a look around school for some of our posters! We'll see you on the the mile!
I'm hot then I'm cold!
Some tricky learning in Science recently, exploring the nature of states and matter and how everything is made up of things we can't even see! But as usual, Year 4 have smashed it and loved investigating how things can change from solid to liquid and even gas. Check out our events and activities page to see some investigation with chocolate.
The Legend of the Ancient Egyptians.
Why was Ancient Egypt’s civilisation ahead of its time? This is a question Year 4 have been enquiring about this half term and have loved using the History Loan boxes from Lancashire Heirtage to do some fantastic enquiry. Check out our events and activities page to see some highlights!
Wowing with Watercolours!
We have loved our Art unit this half-term and have been exploring Georgia O'Keefe's beautiful flower paintings! Georgia O’Keeffe | Tate Modern We have been getting to grips with watercolours and how best to use them to create stand out art work. Check out our events and activities page to see some highlights!
Stand up for Climate Change!
We were so impressed and proud of our Year 4's this week, as they presented their Climate Change assembly to family and friends. They worked really hard to put together a fantastic explanation of the effects of Climate Change and coupled it with some amazing singing from songs they are learning for our Lancashire Sings Event in June! Well done Year 4; you smashed it!
